Journalism is not alone, people in the NHS, in academia, in the police, in teaching, in the civil service etc. all think that it is perfectly acceptable to allow their political preferences to influence the way they go about their work.

That's what he did with CBS when they tried the same sort of thing. They edited Harris to make her look better.

The Director General needs to be removed as it’s a constant drip feed of scandals. Maybe the following appointee will take the roll a little more seriously then.

British people "shopping" British institutions to pay for to promote the great fabricator to sue it. The report is a "leak" by some Reform/ Conservative. If the licence goes up I will end up paying part of Trumps claim.

The country is divided. The Brexit project is still on going.

The BBC has lost its way, it should be reporting not campaigning, we all pay the licence fee it has to be impartial otherwise the compulsory fee has no justification.

I have personally made a formal complaint to the BBC over some very weak publication. I am awaiting a response. It regards the misrepresentation of the United Kingdom from in a BBC foreign language Facebook page .

The problem is that the BBC mark their own homework, they handle their own complaints, the recourse to Ofcom is very difficult to navigate.

Maybe we can stop pretending that the BBC is in any way impartial after this. It's a left leaning organisation and has been for years. Wouldn't matter if people weren't forced to pay for it with the threat of legal action.

Reporting that ITV have sold out to Sky over their Media news reporting on the tele .

ITV reply we have kept I am a celeb or whatever and Love Island on our schedule .
Good viewing figures for the masses will try to keep them afloat for now at least .

Auntie is my go to impartial News outlet , If they have doctored words and re edited footage of broadcasts approved by News editors , exit door is that direction but a pay off incoming by way of the licence payers funding .

The Don has so far detached himself from the UK at all levels of Goverment .

Another nail in this fragile NATO pact maybe .

I worked for them for a while and can confirm that you are correct.

As a state institution it's run very much along civil service lines, it was bad 15-20 years ago but now I hear it's completely shot to pieces....I also hear the Radio/Sounds side of it isn't as bad - YET -but it's slowly succumbing to the rot.

Since its formation the BBC used to have a lot of mainly white middle class professionals, lefties in the main, but well trained, experienced, talented and competent. They made its world class reputation.

The DEI obsession has resulted in shit programming, incompetent, thick as mince staff across the board with useless, word-salad spouting gimps promoted far beyond their abilities at all levels.

I still see jobs advertised there now that I should be a shoe-in for but don't bother to apply as I'm not sure I could work with that level of wokery and nonsense. I'm sure there are plenty of other experienced folk who feel the same. Above all my age, gender, sexuality and race gets my CV going straight into the bin anyway. Every application has a mandatory survey of those criteria so it's unavoidable. The lack of replies, even for niche skillsets, aren't paranoia sadly it's fact.

It needs dismantling and a complete rebuild because it's a busted flush of an organisation.

Slowly losing interest in Radio 2 also , screeching and giggly presenters , all rely on phone ins to pad out their broadcasts each day .

Do not mention Radio 1 which I have to tolerate in my warehouse working enviroment .

I apppreciate I am not in their demographic audience range but , what a noise they make and call music .

Stopped listening to radio two slowly as the presenters I listened to disappeared. Simon Mayo, Steve Wright, Ken Bruce and the the man himself Johnny Walker. The replacements just didn't do it for me.

It’s pretty much the same presenters that were screeching and giggly on radio 1 twenty years ago but now are far too old for radio 1.

It's the journey Of Life - Radio 1, Radio 2, Classic FM, Heart, Magic, Dead.

The POTUS has sent a letter to the BBC threatening legal action. This comes on the day when Chair of the Board Samir Shah offered an apology of a kind, but one tempered with the firm statement that the crisis had been brought about by individual errors rather than institutional bias. Didn't convince me, although I don't much like Trump and want BBC reform rather than dismantlement. i used to love the BBC, especially the World Service, but now I get so irritated with many programmes that I reach for the off button, especially those from the WS at night. The people who replaced Lillibullaro with a Mcasso musical motif, with woke content to match, deserve life imprisonment.

In the past, I listened to John Timpson and Brian Redhead on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme in the mornings. The production was good invariably two guests on the opposing side on an arguement were asked questions without any commentary and we would be left to make our own minds up. Now all we get is opinion from from the presenters, it's just crap.

Completely wrong.

Lisa Nandy needs to ensure the BBC goes back to doing what it's supposed to do according to it's Charter.

To provide impartial news and information to help people understand and
engage with the world around them: the BBC should provide duly accurate and
impartial news, current affairs and factual programming to build people’s
understanding of all parts of the United Kingdom and of the wider world. Its content

depth of analysis and content not widely available from other United Kingdom news
providers, using the highest calibre presenters and journalists, and championing
freedom of expression, so that all audiences can engage fully with major local,
regional, national, United Kingdom and global issues and participate in the
democratic process, at all levels, as active and informed citizens.
