OK, so QPR midweek & Sheffield Wednesday today where two games where Baz could gift both teams a goal and get away with it in terms of not costing us the games. The same can't be said for our next four games after the upcoming International break. Charlton & Millwall away, Leicester & Birmingham City at home. He needs to cut out the stupid errors otherwise all the good work that went into achieving the back to back wins will be undone.
That aside, great to see 5 different Saints scorers in 2 games, that would never have happened under Still... Nor would back to back wins! I will readily admit that I have been a stern critic of SR, however, for once, credit where it is due by axing Still when they did as leaving things as they were until the International break was distinct possibility. But, the last two games were winnable opportunities and by acting to remove Still SR did the right thing.
Now keep it up!
- Decent managerial appointment please, no more clever experiments!
- Sort out the keeper issue in January and also bring in a proven, proper goalscoring centre forward. |  |

With Bazunu P8 W3 D3 L2 Ave points per game 1.33. Over a season = 61 points
Yesterday was another game we wouldn't have won with McCarthy in goal. In fact, having the better goalkeeper is what won us the game.
Of course Viktor Johansson is a better goalkeeper than both of them and we'd have got even better results with him, and probably got promoted, but we missed the opportunity to buy him in the summer. [Post edited 9 Nov 10:36]

It was a perfectly hit shot which went exactly into the bottom corner, where no goalkeeper could have reached it. Thanks to good positioning and quick reflexes, Bazunu did remarkably well to get as close as he did to saving it. McCarthy would have got nowhere near it.
Bazunu made a couple of really outstanding saves too.
The other player Butty has an irrational hatred of is Shea Charles, who, until he got injured was our most consistent player this season. [Post edited 9 Nov 14:57]

On another note it will be interesting to see if we recall Aaron Ramsdale from Newcastle in January, so far he has played just two games at Newcastle both in the League cup, if he is to have any chance of getting in next years World Cup squad he needs to be playing games. | |

I thought Bazunu had a decent game yesterday.
He made a couple of decent saves and saved Stephens blushes with a great reaction save.
From the Itchen /Northam wing where I'm sat it looked like he had no chance for their goal as it arrowed into the corner, but watching it back ..maybe he could have done better.

He's the one goalkeeper everyone on here was happy to see in goal for us. We'd all love to see him come back in January, but he deserves to be in the Premier League. | |

Watching it live from my position in a different part of the ground to you, it looked like a real rocket shot, perfectly placed into the corner of the net. It reminded me of Scienza's goal at QPR. I remember thinking, "Wow!" That Harry Amass is some player.

Unfortunately he is an error leading to a goal in every game.
He should have saved that shot that lead to their goal yesterday.
He was at fault for QPR’s goal.
Both him and McCarthy are not good enough.
Bazunu is still young and hopefully his mistakes will disappear as he gains experience.
They won’t recall Ramsdale as then they’d have to pay his wages. £120k per week. | |
