I've only seen the short highlights, where he looked good.
How was he generally in the match, distribution with feet, coming for crosses - shot stopping looked good?
Have we potentially found a really decent keeper as sometimes happens to players when others get injured etc? |  |

I think it was a solid performance. Delt with everything that came his way, which is all you can ask. I liked that he was talking to the players a lot as well. So many times, after claiming the ball, he was telling players where to position themselves. Used his experience well and was a calming influence. He was consistent. The players knew he would be coming for crosses etc, whereas with Nardi he comes for nothing until it causes so many problems that he then flaps at something. Hamer came for things, and he was making sure if you were in his way he was going through you.
He only found out on the day he was starting the game which also means the players need a bit of credit for adapting back to a goalkeeper that actually comes for stuff. | | | |

Was the difference on Saturday.
Two wonder saves - first one was Gordon Banks - esque !!
But with Walsh or Nardi, we would have been looking at a two nil reverse. Cant make judgements though on one game. After he lets in a dodgy goal, we will see how he responds, as that will be how we can judge him.
