Jimmy Cliff RIP 10:34 - Nov 24 with 849 viewsNed_Kennedys

Just read that the legend Jimmy Cliff has passed away.

He seemed ageless and did some all time classic songs, so glad I got to see him at Glastonbury one year. Amazing artist and seemed a lovely guy as well.

Saw him at the Clapham Grand a few years ago. Despite his age he did a cracking 2 hour set. Loved every minute of it.

What a career! RIP

I don’t like to speak ill of the dead but he never paid my Dad for his bathroom.

I was taken out to JC’s house while he was working there, a big townhouse near Fulham Broadway. Super fluffy white shag pile carpet, very 1975. Not a hard fall there.

Legend is often overused but not in this case.

Not only was he a great singer/ songwriter but also a cultural icon.

That ultimate river now finally crossed.

Desperately sad news.
