The problem is that a lot of people use "emotion" as an excuse for stupidity and hatred.
We're told to accept that football fans are emotional creatures. That we should somehow accept that certain players, coaches, directors or whatever are fair game for mindless abuse because that's just what happens.
Not for me.
I am prepared to criticise but strive to be fair. Give praise when it's due but be unsparing when it isn't. Acknowledge that previous achievement earns a certain leeway when times are bad. Understand when decisions are made that aren't in a players favour. They're just people at the end of the day, and occasions where they are the architects of their own downfall are in reality vanishingly rare.
Fisher is a prime example of this. Utterly hounded for reasons way beyond his control, solid when not subject to managerial stupidity, yet somehow still mistrusted and subject to slagging by those without the intellectual capacity to think any differently. |  |

They did well in that first half just as we did against Man City going 1-0 up but you have to believe you can beat teams,we didn't try to stay on the front foot for fear of being opened up and yet that is exactly what happened as we dropped off forsaking an cohesive forward threat which we had in the early part of the game.

Didn't we get carried away against Man City. Cardiff are doing well good luck to them, they are still in a division below us, it is the Cardiff media hype that is the big switch off, maybe letting them having a bit of the spotlight after being in our shadows is ok but it is time they realise that they are still in our shadow.
I find it cringe worthy seeing that a certain TV sports presenter now seems all pally with a certain quality Centre Half these days. You can feel that lasting tension between the two.🙂 | | | |
