Burrell being out, we will see how Kone performs as the out and out centre forward as opposed to the withdrawn 10 playing behind Burrell.
I think Burrrell was selected there as he has done so well there, but just a thought, Kone may now score more goals in the "nine" role, where he is most comfortable.
He does have the best conversion rate for chances taken, so guessing, we will see.
Am hopeful myself.

Kone is a number 9. We can all see that's where he needs to be. There is another formation that could suit him as the central forward and that would be to try a 4-3-3 formation where he is the central striker of a front 3 with potentially Burrell to the left and Kolli to the right. |  |

Great shout. Would prob suit Dembele too as less need to defend.

First, you're playing all three of our strikers from the off, and have nothing on the bench to bring on to change things up if needed. Secondly, we have a cast of oompah loompas supposedly there to provide width, guile, trickery, pace, and, in the case of one of them, cherubic smiles. All aimed at selling on for huge profits.
I can't see the project's mission goals being achieved with Buzz, Kone, and Kolli starting and the oompahs all sat on the bench. Speaking of seating, where do we stick Chair. |  |

My response to your thoughts are that we could play a 4-3-3 as suggested and if that doesn't work we go back to 4-2-2 with wingers or 4-5-1 with one up top. My point is that we have players that could play any of those formations.... Or.... Not. | |

Also, will the injury list force a change in formation anyway? Recalling Sutton after agreeing a loan extension seems a strange move unless we are worried about how long the injured players will be out. |  |

Defo agree, Kone is an out and out No.9 and needs to be playing at the tip of the attack, not deep.

He’s no doubt a finisher. But for me, his all round game is actually quite poor, at least currently . As a supposed hold up player, his hold and lay game is 50/50 at best.
Reminds me of Lyndon Dykes in that regard. One minute, it’s excellent. The next, it’s giving it away for fun / bouncing off him / failing to complete a simple lay off. That said, hes definitely got something to work with.
And he’s got ample time to grow at 22, as I’m sure he will, but his overall game and especially his failure to retain the ball, and his jogging-like closing down (almost half arsed at times), has increasingly grated. | | | |
