Minus Goal Difference 18:32 - Jan 24 with 412 viewsJohnBurkeQPR

I understand it's probably not the most relevant discussion point today - but what is it with QPR and our fixation with having a minus goal difference?!

I'm sure some stats person can correct me if I'm wrong, but from some quick research I believe the last time we had a positive goal difference (excluding 0) was DECEMBER 28TH 2022. Just over three years ago.

This season we have been teetering on it for about two months, but can't seem to get into positive numbers.

If anything it demonstrates that we are much more prone to a thrashing than a demolition job.

I don't know why, but I find it infuriating.

I remember the last time we had a positive goal difference, somebody had written “Votes For Women” on the wall outside my house.

I think it’s very relevant but rarely talked about. Don’t need an analysis to identify a problem there.

I mean we've conceded 14 goals in three games against the top three which will probably do it.

We struggle to score goals. Burrell the first into double figures since Gray. It looked like we'd sorted that out before Christmas but again now it's mostly ones and nils.

I don't think we do struggle to score goals necessarily. Of those teams above us, we've scored more than Derby, Stoke, Preston, Watford and Millwall and as many as Bristol City. At the other end only Leicester, West Brom and Sheff Weds (obvs) have conceded more.

As you say, conceding 14 in three games against the top three and only scoring three in return doesn't help

Poll: Which is the worst QPR team?
