Thanks for the reports, folks.

Thought Tarbotton was MOTM, has both bite in the tackle and a range of passing in midfield. Charlie Street looked very tidy, rated him more than Akindileni but really only on the basis of this game. Brunson looked very exciting when he came on, very slight but defenders really struggled with him. Overall, they were clinical and had us with those early goals but we had a good second half and if one of those chances had gone in, I'd have loved to see how that had played out.

In Harry Howell and Freddie Simmonds, Brighton have 2 of the better prospects in the country at the age group (so say people I know and trust about these things), yet I thought their winger Silsby(?) looked excellent too. On the basis of the opposition, I think we can be pleased with the way we performed against a decent side

Poll: Moses Odubajo - Stick or Twist?

Anyone ever had an Adjetey-Brew?

And like a previous poster, I like the name Tang. Would he be a Poon or a Wu?

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

In Thailand ATM, so getting up at 2am to watch was never going to happen. I didnt think wed win, based on their Cat 1 credentials. It does sound like we made a decent game of it - after the 2 early goals.

Is there going to be a highlights video?

Agree with this, Brighton caught us cold in the first minute, then we picked up a little but they hit us on the break for the second. Took the wind out of our sails. Second half was much better, we put them under pressure and pushed them onto the back foot, we passed the ball better and we created a few chances. Hassan bullied two defenders out of the way before shooting high and wide, and Adjetey-Brew whipped in a couple of excellent free kicks. Brighton reportedly focus on recruiting GKs and the kid playing here looked good.

Definitely some potential in our team but, as ever, people need to hold tight on their expectations. These kids are a long way from making an impact on the first team. It also re-emphasised the lunacy of using 16 year olds as subs in the cup game v Plymouth.

Been watching these games for years. And unfortunately, there was no obvious standout. Unlike their number 10 England youth. And like we’ve had in the past with Kolli v Spurs, who was streets ahead of everyone else on the pitch. And that’s a concern, because if history tells me anything, you need to really stand out in these type of games if you are going to make it at first team level.
