Think we will be up for it for the first 20 or so, with Vale pulling the (ham)strings in midfield. But if we don’t score in that period, it might go South. I think we will as Kolli well overdue another goal. Think we will need a second to win it and not sure where that will come from, so going for 1-1.And as someone far wiser than me said ‘I’ll take that’. Most of all I want to see some effort and pride in the shirt.

Trouble is we don't always get that 2nd goal to give more breathing space. Think this one will be a 1-1 draw as our tendency to go passive from a period of domination at home tends to be our problem. Hope to see Ronnie Edwards in the Madsen role as to me he looks like he could be very good in that position.

Ha, we'll need inter-thread updates so we know which one we're doing best on
| cutting the Blades down to size - match thread on 09:31 - Feb 28 with 998 views | davman | Got the tix for this game AFTER being at St Mary's on Tuesday. Feeling like sh1te then with the starts of this cold, which is now at full tilt making me feel even worse. Mad. Just mad. The capitulation after Madsen's departure was as stark as you'll see. It was on a par with that Wrexham debacle that still rankles big. The last home game v Blackburn and the crap on Tuesday were not lost to "better" teams, they were lost through a massive lack of effort. In both games, our lot had no time on the ball and they had all the time and space in the world. Our players are either knackered, inexperienced or 'kin lazy, but after seeing Sheff U on Weds, if they do not match their effort we will again be facing down the barell of the gun. As a club, we are just not very good. Mis-managed at all levels and once again relying on a squad whose only fit players are mostly more suited to L1 or L2 at best. If that does not come with an increase in effort, there will only be one outcome... **shudder** | |
