I think it’s interesting though.
If he thought Tonda was about to leave, surely he would stick around if he got on so well with everybody else (?).
Or, if Tonda wanted him out, the rest of the senior management would surely have ignored Tonda if he himself was about to leave (?).

I think you are reading too much into it, when a new manager comes in the back room staff are often replaced over a relatively short period of time, by all accounts he already has a new employer and he would have started negotiations for that job more than a fortnight or so ago. | |
