It's all very well asking the club to be generous, but the problem is they face getting another points deduction if they can't balance the books.

If you go to every home game, it’s probably about £25-£30 per game.
I think that’s reasonable compared with other entertainment options, such as going ten-pin bowling or to the cinema.

West End theatre prices have gone through the roof and stalls seats at the Royal Opera House nowadays are £250 or more each.
As we've seen from the incredible attendances at the current World Cup - there were even 68,527 for Austria v Jordan - the demand for sports and entertainment tickets is insatiable, and the ticket prices reflect this, as do the salaries of top sportsmen and entertainers. $1,000+ tickets for individual events are becoming increasingly common.
It's true, however, that, to those of us from an older generation, these prices look outrageous compared to what we were used to when we were younger.
As for value for money, I think what I spent for the play-off semi-final 2nd leg v Middlesbrough was possibly the best all year. It was superb entertainment with a brilliant atmosphere. There was even extra-time. Why on earth would anyone want their money back for that???? It would be like asking for my money back for the FA Cup semi-final v Man City because we didn't win it. There appears to be some uproar about the girls academy being partly scrapped which although not popular with the girls (and parents it seems) the club have had to clearly look at the finances.
I know there is another thread about that, but these decisions have to be made |  |
