I think Kone definitely could have a great season. Got a feeling everyone is going to be impressed by Pierce Charles and especially his distribution abilities. I think Madsen will continue to improve and I think a new player coming through will be Isak Alemayhu (probably spelt wrong).
For some odd reason, I think we could see a much improved Varane this season. His performance in the friendly against Fiorentina was very encouraging, so much more forward movement.
But for me this season's top man - and hopefully he has an injury free season - will be Ilias Chair. He said when Stephan came in, he was learning a lot of new ideas from him and was very impressed and also some of the friendlies - appreciate they are friendlies - but didnt once hang onto the ball too long and linked up great with the midfield and the attack.

I'm finding it hard to look beyond Kone tbh. If we don't break him then a second season at this level ( and with more support) could be the stuff of legend. By legend, I mean a 20 goal striker. |  | | |

Going for Chair this season, finally getting his fitness back and a more central role behind Kone and Burrell. Vale will also kick on further.
