Agree with that. I thought Varane was ok today, switched off once, but recovered in time. Kamara tired I think 2nd half. He failed to take a couple of chances to shoot from the edge of the area electing to pass to players in more difficult positions than he was in himself. Poku and Vale also getting a lot of flack but we were better with them than their replacements. I agree Stephan got it wrong today, we needed an extra man in the midfield, the 4 4 2 didn't work. Edwards in a 3 in the midfield with another CB, instead of Smyth as an extra striker for this difficult away game would have been better, and as we used in difficult away games earlier this season and did very well.We missed a fit Madsen though and also JCS if as I suspect he wasn't fully ready for today. I think Smyth is way better than Mackie. |

I don't know that he is even better than our last Manager Marti, who kept us in the Division when we looked highly likely to be relegated. But Stephan is certainly doing very well with what he has. I have wondered sometimes why we do not use Smyth's pace up front. Julien went with that yesterday with Smyth alongside the suddenly rejuvenated Kone and with the survivors of our injury decimated squad set up in 2 banks of 4 behind them, we were too good for the team who have topped the League the last month. |

That's an amazing turnaround from Richard Kone! From looking unfit, not sharp, not scoring, not getting much on target if managing to shoot at all, not being able to hold the ball up or link the play, until yesterday suddenly he's scored the earliest if not the quickest hat trick ever in English football, looked reasonably fit, a big threat while he was on the pitch and really enjoying himself. Føkking amazing Rich, well done mate! Really hope he can keep it going. |

I was going 0-1 until I saw JCS was out, which means Edwards can't solidify our midfield. So gone 0-2. Bare bones. Still hoping for a surprise win. |

20 million for Varane? Can't believe anyone would be offering that unless it was Thai Baht, or even Norwegian Kroner. |

I read somewhere research into injuries on both natural surfaces and artificial ones showed no overall big differences between the two, but there were a larger number of ankle area injuries on the artificial surfaces. Madsen? |

Sounds like a good idea if we could do it early in January without putting ourselves into financial difficulties. We need cover for M'Bengue for the rest of the season. While Adamson has done better than I thought based on last season I'm not convinced he's a good enough 1st choice RB, and Lampty's availability is very doubtful. We need Dunne at CB and Edwards where he is best, at either CB or central defensive midfield. |
