I always feel it inappropriate to ask people to do something you're not prepared or, unable to do, but here goes.
A while back, I recall BMX Ben met the great unwashed, and presented data to support the argument that QPR players were fit, healthy, and largely injury free. Which was generally pooh-poo'd and seen as fairy dust.
I suggested at the time that it might be useful to gather our own data going forward, so that we had something to counter future promulgation of data by the club that we thought, fanciful.
I say I wouldn't do it, as I'm not best placed. But certainly happy to help someone who might be adept at this sort of thing.

If you go back and look at what you wrote about pre-existing biases and cherry-picking data, and consider the context of what you were replying to then I think it could reasonably be interpreted as you having a pop at Andrew's motives and integrity.
But if you are saying it is me who has misunderstood your meaning and that wasn't what you meant at all then fair enough, I will believe you.
I'm sure Andrew will be relieved that his reputation is intact. |

In fact, just to clarify even further, my comment was aimed at those who interpret statistics and not those who present statistics and analysis without any ‘angle’ as is the case here.
