| Recent car deaths on 01:53 - Aug 26 by Robbie | Does seem these thieves knew the law on police chase actions and gambled on them calling off the pursuit as soon as they went down the wrong way of traffic travel direction . Maybe Dublin was a case of nonsense tik tok likes or other online bravado but the other incident in Middlesborough seems to being in a different Police investigation . Lot of outsiders now involved in Police enquires including one of the deads fathers house being targeted in a ram raid . |
17 arrests now linked to the Middlesbrough incident.

| Recent car deaths on 08:29 - Aug 26 with 1749 views | jack_lord | As I understand it, the baddies had broken the law and the police were obviously clearly in the right pursuing them. There is a grey area when the right time to call off a pursuit when it clearly becomes a danger. That is a very difficult call for the police to make. The police did call it off and devastatingly the police officers who died were coming the correct way colliding with the perpetrators. The loss of life of the officers is beyond tragic. They may have saved even more innocent lives in that collision. Did the baddies get what they deserved - that is debatable but they won't be doing it again but tragically two police officers have been lost and won't be going home to their families when they were trying to uphold the law and protect the public. | |

They did We have lost 16 people in two weeks by cars being driven by drunk doped feckless rats who will do what they want on the roads whilst we drive to work, holiday or business I’d say that’s a national emergency Meanwhile , we set off flares Bury them on white coffins and have priests bless em These clowns need to see a messy fatal as it changes your attitude seeing body parts collected from tree stumps lampposts and telegraph poles It can and does happen to them

No debate JL, got exactly what they deserved. They won’t do that again. The only tragedy here is the death of two policemen going about their job. And it’s a huge tragedy.

Its choice Crime has consequences Nobody is immortal Grim Reaper everywhere How can there be “ debate” We’ve lost criminals which is good but also police officers which is not , although plenty are pleased about that Let’s not forget the faces of the rats hat dragged a Bobby along to his death then laughed about it

I agree Rich The debatable bit is those who will still stick up for the loss of life even if they are baddies. There are unfortunately still many out there who think like that. They wont be sticking up for them if it was their own kin that lost their lives through the reckless and criminal action of the baddies.

Two arrested on suspicion of murder, police not ruling out links to organised crime. That's 19 arrests since the car crash. https://www.independent.co.uk/ [Post edited 26 Aug 22:14]

I find that hard to believe when they were on the wrong side of the motorway and hit the police car head on. I’ve no doubt the police were responding to this but you can’t chase a car when it’s coming towards you.

Any loss of life is tragic, but ,and i know people will not agree but for me the problems stem from a home life, what s right from wrong and the way things have changed, me playing football on the street in port tennant near where the dairy was in ysgol street, and the local bobby giving us a clip around the ear telling us to get off the road ,now they cannot look at anyone no disaplin anywhere sorry to say

Morning Pete Disagree The death of the Serbian butcher yesterday was not It’s also the case the Smoggie shites killed two police officers who were serving the community whilst they commit crime They would have been perfectly capable of causing more innocent deaths had they not ended up in body bags

Keith, the pursuit was called off when the car went the wrong way down the carriage way. It was a police car coming the right way on the carriageway had a head on. Tragic, effing numpties killing innocent people doing there job.

Don’t see any issues with the five meeting an early end. They would have continued ruining lives and imposing themselves on others for all of their lives, as they were doing when they died., no loss.

Extra 200 police drafted in, houses attacked, cars burned, 19 arrests and 2 on murder charges for burning a house down. No doubt life is being made difficult for law abiding citizens in that area.

But for many it is Balloons, flares being sent up into heaven where no doubt these clowns would be sent Then stealing cars and burning them out Mother says their lives to be celebrated in style so bring a quad ,e bike or a car We should ,,let’s be honest ,be grateful that five have ended up in bits at the side of the road Tragedy is only the fact police officers families devastated . We need to smash these rats and police need to get in their faces not parading their peculiarities in Pride marches .

In many, if not most cases the issues and problems stem from the home environment, but there are also cases where kids from tidy families have strayed from the straight and narrow on account of the influence of mates etc. Like you I grew up in a time where the local Bobby was respected and feared and you’d get a clip around the ear if you did anything wrong, our local bobby was “ Copper Ellis” and if you incurred his wrath look out. Me and my mates made sure we never gave him cause to come after us!

We think we are more sophisticated We’re not Criminals are our enemy We need police to do what they are paid for and that’s not being in partnerships with organisation nor stakeholders It’s them or us Steal a car Burgle a house Smash a pensioner Rape You’re going to feel pain That said , we need Courts and Judges to carry it through Kids know their rights but not their responsibilities

It’s not the Old Bill that’s needed in Grangetown. It’s been a social cesspit for over 20 years… and has been ignored by London politics because it’s not on their patch. After a week or so it’ll be shuffled off the front pages to be replaced by some inane Influencer or alleged Celebrity…..and the problem moves on.
