The exercise has shown to me, through my own experience , how councillors and politicians change , from when they knock on doors to taking office.
Nothing has shown me the impact such a move at a small village is making when hearing a mother of 3 young children yesterday say that their daily live of taking the dog for a walk or a visit to the park alone are over!
People should realise that decisions made by councils andGovts affect and possibly ruin peoples dail lives maybe forever.

Lisa Nandy was on Times Radio this morning defending this policy and brought up the issue of social class. She said (with surprising honesty) that the working class had already suffered because of migrant hotels and HMOs, and it was now the turn of more affluent areas to share the load. According to Lisa, the problem will ease as the backlog of asylum applications is processed and the numbers waiting reduce. It doesn't seem to occur to those putting forward that argument that the vast majority of unvetted young men will still be here, and mostly now spread through houses and bedsits in communities across the land. In many cases their main asset is precisely that they are here, so we can expect a high volume of family reunification and foreign bride applications ("right to family life" if they don't meet the income threshold). Just because her constituency in Wigan has turned into a Shitehole of HMO & immigrants doesn't mean the rest of us have to tolerate it.

A mate mine has a terraced house not far from the George. Or shall we say a Fisherman's cottage. A house a few doors down had been occupied and seems to have grown in numbers. They also have a car. Obviously no British licence, possibly no tax etc. Hypothetically doing delivery jobs? He mentioned this to the local Police and local councilor ( who was not informed on them living there). Guess what the car is no longer parked outside. | | | |

The thing is this camp is meant to beself sufficient, the "guests" aren't supposed to be out wandering around. It's basically an immigration detention centre from what I saw today. Of course that could be more BS from politicians.
Would I be happy if one was opening near me, no, definitely not. This is what the politicians miss, never mind the better off sharing the load, most of us feel the load is too large and ordinary people have too much of the burden. It's not about colour or religion (not for myself anyway) it's purely about the numbers, the number already here waiting to be processed, the number cheating the system by claiming to be persecuted, gay or whatever else their corrupt lawyer advises AND the number still coming here. I know that is dropping but we have a massive backlog.
It's still my opinion that anyone who enters the country illegally should be refused permission to stay now and forever. That should put a few off. If they come in by legal means and go straight to the authorities then they can be considered.
People clamouring to rejoin the EU should pay attention to what is going on in Europe and their issues with immigration. | | | |
