It’s a worrying set back, but I remember when he had some issues last season that we seemed to rush him back into action too soon and I wondered at the time if we’d be made to pay for it.
The same happened with the likes of Jack Robinson and some others. It’s imperative we get these details right to ensure we’re not contributing to the problems.
Nevertheless, I’m really disappointed for Cousins and hope this is not as serious an issue as it might seem. It’s frustrating that all his pre-season effectively goes to waste because of this and he’s certainly a player we could do with having fully fit and available.
Realistically though, if he recovers well and is able to kick on, you’d hope he can make a difference around the November to December mark when there are a lot of cold hard matches in that winter period, which is when he’d most likely be at his peak if all goes well. |  | | |

This is really frustrating news, especially for the player who must be tearing his hair out after making the move only to be constantly scuppered by injury for the first time in his career. I really rate Cousins and think he's more than good enough to be part of our best 11, but he needed this pre-season and strong start which is now not going to happen...
Let's hope this is the last of his longer term problems and he comes back just as we need him. |  |
