If anybody was wondering how a club could get around the FFP rules for a ridicuous €222m transfer....

Paladini must be involved in that set up.

If true, then as with all financial regulations, the loopholes are there to be exploited, but woe betide you if you are are a small team wanting to blood your youngsters in a competition that the Football Authorities have degraded by allowing higher league U23 teams compete it... If you do that, you'll attract a fine pretty significant on your income / expenditure sheet.

Football is in the possession of the big clubs - joke.

Can we go out yet?

And big players. Good piece here on Barcas woes at losing him, despite the absurd monies inwards.

Not really. There's been bad blood between the Clubs for a while, Barca have been trying to nail down PSG via the Authorities for some time. Barca Chairman earlier today demanded and threatened PSG are treated equally. Later, Barca demand PSG pay them, which suggests some chicanery on the part of PSG, and the above, although not sourced, probably is not far off the Mark.

Just on the tax point, it doesn't matter where the deal is signed, it matters where Neymar is domiciled for tax. Spain has been cracking down on tax avoidance/fraud in football, which is probably why Neymar wants out.

This is great news for QPR and our forthcoming FFP verdict. This deal will be used by any decent legal team to clearly demonstrate FFP is unworkable. No way PSG generates the income to pay for this deal there cannot be one rule for us and another one for everybody else....

What does all this mean to the 2022 World Cup? Neymar is going to be "an" ambassador, so there will be others? Why is it so important to Qatar? I don't get it.

La Liga reject the payment. Maybe there is someone in power seeing what amounts to circumnavigating the rules.

Here's the nuts and bolts of it.

Given this is the same UEFA that reckoned "no individual or legal entity has a decisive influence" over Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig I won't be holding my breath sanctions-wise.

Barcelona jumped in bed with Qatar, and are now moaning that someone else is getting more of their money. Still, it will be fun to see if either:
1) Barcelona trot out for their next game with the Qatar Airways sign cut out of their shirt, like Romanian flags during the overthrow of Ceausescu
2) Suarez bites Neymar

Looks like those Saudi sanctions on Qatar aren't exactly biting.
