We used to drink in the Vine, which is sound and does good food, but these days we usually drink around the Jewellery Quarter and then get the train to the Hawthorns. It’s less than five minutes between the two by train. Some nice boozers around the Jewellery Quarter. If driving, I’d go with the Vine, but try and get there early - it gets busy. |  |

When Esox who doesn’t eat meat says the Vine then it has to be the best option. It’s without doubt the best football pub (excepting the C&S) in the country. The tandoori is about as good as you can get. Don’t be put off by the outside, it’s like the Tardis. Beer is good and well priced. Easy to park round those streets and not far off the motorway. About a mile walk from the ground. | |

Another vote for the Vine, consistently good for food and atmosphere and cant ever recall any trouble with locals there, if you don't fancy a curry there is a blinding Kebab place between the Vine and the ground where you will almost certainly spot a happy Wombat |  | | |
