I see LFW re-tweeting this one.

Look forward to reading this. Not a very subjective title and byline, but I hope the book is nuanced as his career deserves a proper examination. To my mind a seriously underrated Rangers manager, but also associated with some dreadful football at Arsenal and Wimbledon. No doubt, he is held in the highest regard, though.

Always liked his persona as well, calm and dignified.

When he took over we were nailed on to go down, he got us up last mid-table and was unlucky not to go all the way in the FA cup as well.

That should be a good read, a really good manager for us although a few players from that era don't speak favorably of him such as Ferdinand. Did a good job for England as well under Venables and Bobby Robson

well under don howe we went on a run spoken of across europe that only AC Milan bettered, something like 2 losses in 60 games , at QPR that is amazing, we never smashed transfer fees, we developed and bought wisely , back then you built a team not bought it. qpr were respected .
