Is anyone watching these on Netflix at the moment? Tinder Swindler is on my to watch list, although I have listened to a podcast episode on the guy, and I'm 3 episodes in on Inventing Anna, although again I listened to the BBC Sounds podcast on her last year.
Whilst dramatised, Inventing Anna I'm finding is enthralling to watch. How someone can have the front to outright lie and get away with as much as she did, and fool as many people as she did is crazy.
And actually, how shallow and vacuous all of high society come across as. Its not enough to just be comfortable in life, it has to be THIS and THAT and PERFECT and if its not expensive its worthless etc...crazy crazy lifestyles and keeping up of appearances. Sod that. |  | | |  |

The Tinder Swindler is well worth a watch. It will only reinforce your view about the shallowness of the high life and the people who aspire to it.

There’s also one of a similar nature (name escapes me) about a chap getting away with being an MI5 agent.

Like most Netflix stuff.....starts out all a bit confusing, then gets clearer drip by drip........and eventually you wish you'd just watched a 12 minute youtube summary instead. |  |
