Given what we have seen this season, I can't see a queue of Championship level refs moving up the ladder.

I don't watch enough 90' matches in the PL, ie none!, to judge really, so just judging on highlights.

Despite my protestations on here, there IS some subjectivity to any opinion.

The two obvious ones - Oliver and Taylor - I like and despite earlier antipathy, like Clive, I like the way Simon Hooper operates.

No idea why really, but Stuart Atwell irritates me!

As discussed before, having high speed, high tempo, games between 20 year old athletes, being referred by guys in their 50s, is problematic. But, as we see at our level, where’s the next batch coming through? I can rarely recall as poor a crop of Championship officials as this one.

He's been there before and he is in PGMOL1 - has been 4th official a few times this season.

Not sure if he has done any PL middles this season though.

Concur with Clive as always ! Lol very poor at champ level most have been around a long time TalkSPORT ( Simon Jordan ) says VAR should be used at EFL level not sure if we have the amount of refs needed for that but defo an argument for utilisation in the championship next season.
