David Sutherland, who drew Dennis the Menace and the Bash Street Kids for the Beano for over 60 years, has died.

I have a very similar story to that. I’d love to still have that comic collection - my favourite comic ever, by a mile; a fantastic part of being a kid. |  |

Wonderful woman that she is, Mrs Boston once cleaned out my closet and disposed of a "manky old ripped in a couple of places", skull and crossbones badge on one lapel, PIL on the other, Marlon Brandoesque leather.
Shrinking her favourite sweater in the dryer a couple of weeks later was a total accident.
