I'm Sitting... on 01:03 - Aug 7 with 1370 views | Boston | He likes a drink. Very sociable old school humour. Told him he'd scored some great goals, particularly into his own net, he thanked me, asked who I supported and informed me his first ever goal for Liverpool was at Loftus Rd (which I didn't know). Asked him about Paul Mariner, still in shock, and Shaka Hislop, mystified but thinks he's ok (btw, Hislop's real name is Neil, which I was also unaware of). Lives and works in Connecticut, though had been a resident of Massachusetts for many years and was up visiting his kid(s), who live locally. The funniest (for me), part of the night was when three Irish guys in their 60's walked into the pub (The Bowery, Dorchester), and overheard him commenting on a football (soccer), game that was on one the tv screens. They were propped up beside us at the bar and one leans forward and asks him "would you have played for Liverpool?" Fair bit of chit chat between them, then the same fella leans forward and enquires if I'd also played for them!!! | |
