As it's international week I thought I'd mention this book.
You won't like it if you hate Liverpool with a passion but probably will if you are interested in data and football.
It's called 'How to win the Premier League' by Ian Graham.
I've not read it yet, but my son (still at school) has. I'm going to try and read it over the break.
It's about data science (or wahtever the right bname is) being introduced at Liverpool (by the author, so inside information).
My son, and other reviews I've seen, says it's interesting to read how it worked their, different managers approaches to it (Rodgers and Klopp at Liverpool), when it was used, when not and the outcomes, the logic behind it. It also talks about Brighton and I think Brentford.
We talk a lot about data and models etc, but I think many like me don't really have a true understanding of how it works, and I think this book explains it quite well.
Anyway, it seems to have good reviews.
Any other books people might recommend - QPR based, or others?

The Ripple Effect by Dominik Holland
Its a novel, and quietly amusing.
I associate with the rise and fall of Macclesfield. Read it and see if you agree. |  |

“Where has all the money gone” by Adrian Goldberg.He goes through all the problems with various clubs over the last 30 years,including his own WBA.
I don’t think there’s anything that most people won’t know,but it’s good to be able to read all about them in one book. |  | | |
