Saw them quite a few times over the years. Their gig at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1981 on the El Loco tour was incredible. One of my top five live gigs.
The audience were all drunk and smoking stuff and completely riotous. They played for 2.5hrs and the playing and sound was off the scale. They literally lifted the roof off the Odeon.
Gibbons is a supreme guitar player but Dusty and Frank were a rhythm machine.
