Just watching a BBC news feature about the Afghan women’s football team, now living abroad for obvious reasons. FIFA have now given them the go-ahead to represent their country in future international tournaments (against the various edicts of the Taliban). Good for FIFA (for once).
I can only marvel at the courage and determination these women (and others) are showing by sticking the proverbial finger up to the misogynistic c*nts who rule that country. Don’t know if the shirts are available to buy but I definitely want one!

I think they’re amazing. It’s not just common or garden misogyny or repression. They’re not even allowed to speak in public in their own country let alone have any education or show any part of their face or body, and even have to wear sunglasses to cover up their eyes. That’s just batshit crazy.
I worry a bit for them as I can’t imagine the Taliban are delighted by this. It takes a lot of courage to stick two fingers up at that regime. |  | | |
