iPad help 19:42 - Dec 28 with 2614 viewsSnipper

If I want to watch football, cricket etc on an iPad, how much data would I use to watch a normal 90 minute match in a non wifi area?

Thanks.

I think you can figure it out through the bit-rate

you'd need a fast mobile signal to stream though.. I'd guess low quality for 90ms would be around 100mb (i pulled this figure from my arse btw)

A lot. Not sure exactly how much but I would expect most of your monthly allowance would go.

Wouldn't bother with 90 mins. We only play for10. Which 10 is anybody's guess.

Not a great idea streaming any video content on 3G. You could eat 2-3 gig in a match...

Watched the Swansea game last year on my iphone - only second half and watched about ten mins on / 10 mins off to save data.
Still munched best part of a gig though.

Will have the same dilemma for Sunday i'd imagine, as I'm away again - although vodafone have given me a whole 2 gb to play with now!

How many have looked that up and are now wondering if there is a history for apps searches that should be deleted?

For the test cricket, 9600 bps should do...

When I got my iPad two years ago I signed up with 3, and for £25 per month, got unlimited downloads. Also the iPad was half price compared to everywhere else.

If you are a driver on the Picc Snipper then I can recommend iTrackernet app. Type in your train number and see where it is. Saves waiting around on the platform at Acton Town!

Actually, it's a good free app for anyone wishing to know when their next train is due on the tube.

Another driver told me about that Sudbury. I download the app but keep forgetting about it. The flaw to it though is that if the job is tits up, they can reform your train in the platform.

Tossers.

I've looked for ages and found nothing. You can get flash apps to allow you to play some sites but I've never had any success trying to play any live streams for football. If you find a solution let us know!

Is there an App out there that translates this thread into any language I might understand? I'm still struggling with my DVD player.

Many thanks in advance.
