Tonight's the night!!! 12:42 - Mar 11 with 871 viewsCFW

Think the game tonight could define our season in many ways. Played well on Saturday albeit against a poor side and won comfortably. We have a run of matches coming up that we are more than capable of wining and it would be nice to see to solid back to back performances. Would also be nice to field the same team for a change as well.
A win tonight against a team that is doing ok along with our win on Saturday and with Yeovil at home this weekend nine points would be most welcome.
Think Leicester are gone but Burnley are still catchable - they have had a great run of results, have managed to keep their players fit for 90% of the season and had more than their fair share of luck. It that continues then fair play to them, if they have a blip we need to take advantage.
Whatever happens by the end of this month we should know our fate and a nice run of form now will be exactly what we want and need.
You only have to look at the results this weekend to see every point is vital and playing teams from the bottom or mid table really means nothing.

Agreed. It's a big game alright, probably more about the result than the performance although 3 points whilst playing well is almost too much to ask. Nothing is decided in March but each game now takes on a greater importance and a run in March to boost confidence, both players and fans, whilst putting pressure on Burnley would be great as well as being good preparation for the play-offs.

The alternative doesn't bear thinking about!

Massive for us tonight, real chance to put pressure on Burnley.

We should know from our promotion year that the closer you get to promotion the harder it is to pick up points. Games early in the season that are 0-0 with 20 to play you go for the win and end up nicking a goal but come the last 10 games you panic and end up losing or drawing them instead. If you cope with the pressure you'll go up but will be interesting to see how Burnley cope in the next few weeks. They've been brilliant all season but that might not count for much if they have a bad week and drop a few points

No way we deserve to go up ahead of Burnley.

If we do manage to overhaul the points difference and finish above them, then we most definatley will deserve to go up ahead of Burnley

Can't really afford to be drawing games either if we have any chance of closing in on Burnley. A point at BHA would be good but we really need all 3 and hope Burnley drop a few tonight.

Certainly to-date Burnley are good for their second place and we have managed to look pretty dreadful and still stay in touch. Nevertheless there's a quarter of the season left and we'll finish where we deserve. If we do put a run together and somehow pass Burnley (I wouldn't see any reason to bet on that yet) then those of us, including me, who have been very critical and despairing will have a large and tasty slice of humble pie to eat come May................ still not sure how we'd fair if we were to get promoted though even if we look like world beaters over the next dozen games.

‘morbid curiosity about where this is all going’

If Burnley lose momentum and we overtake them it will be because they had to work within their boundaries and so couldn't sign every out of contract & out of favour PL player.

OK, so we can still feel bad about ourselves. That's a relief.

Think our season has already been defined during February. 13 more matches to get through while we wait and see who comes off the injured list for the play offs.

or it will be because someone else was better than them over a full season, I take if Wigan go up that is due to great strategy rather than signing loads of premier league players

Understand your feelings but even after a pi*s poor February and Burnley on fire with our game in hand we are still only 6 points behind. It really could have been a lot worse.

We need to pressurise Burnley so they crack. We can also then hope that Ings or Volks gets an injury as the luck has certainly been with them and not us on that front.
