Ferdinand or Ramsey said the same recently. We have, it seems, the 18 that were available today plus Gubbins who twisted his ankle in training and is that it? Edit - plus Cameron (as Bosh points out). [Post edited 20 Jun 2020 20:16]

Subs today on 19:34 - Jun 20 with 1440 views | bosh67 | Would be good for Dalling and Alfa to be training with the first team and competing for a bench place if we are down to, as they say on Star Trek, 7 of 9 subs. At least we have Cameron back for the next games. Him and Ball were controlling midfield up until the pandemic.

Subs today on 19:38 - Jun 20 with 1421 views | QPRSteve | Kakay and Charlie Owens are in the first team squad. Are they injured? Surely we could have called in some players from U23's to train with the first team. Either poor planning or worse, there is nobody apart from Bettache that the coaches think can step up.

Subs today on 20:25 - Jun 20 with 1297 views | qprd | To me, it’s pretty bizarre and hard to justify If you’re only going to play 7 subs, why not put Dieng on the bench? It’s statistically highly unlikely, but it’s not inconceivable that kelly could have been sent off and then Lumley injured Hamalainen, kakay, etc aren’t exactly u23s anymore, either. Either we try to incorporate them into the squad or get rid of them It’s not worth getting upset about, but it doesn’t make much sense [Post edited 20 Jun 2020 20:27]

U23's don't have to be registered as long as they were at the club at the time.

read that season long loans cannot play this season, despite seasons ending elsewhere. That would rule out and explain why Seny Dieng and Niko Hamalainen are not training or involved. We have a 23 man squad training, which includes the 18 today, plus Geoff Cameron who was suspended. The further 4 are Joe Gubbins (got injured in training), Osman Kakay (perhaps also injured?), Marco Ramkilde (signed as a development player and perhaps deemed not ready), and Grant Hall (who has now left). Charlie Owens got injured early in the season with a bad knee injury and has been out for circa 6 months.

That's extremely frustrating. You'd think clubs would have lobbied for and the authorities been amenable to lifting that restriction in this situation.
