Thanks and thanks. Yes, myself and Mrs Boston are urban types, like to live close enough to town for a taxi home.

Large scale construction , engineering work going on around there for the last 12 months. Lechmere station is not in use (new station being built), quirky old bridge was demo’d, elevated section is being overhauled or replaced, etc etc. The line is being extended out to Tufts campus in west Medford. Whole area is inundated with building projects, including one of mine.

You could see the whole area was being redeveloped, it’s sort of like the area around Stratford. Hotel view over the gas station, giant car wash, liquor store, giant semi derelict warehouse to the giant railway sidings beyond. Not the Boston of the brochures!

Another QPR ex-pat that we know in America has a 'QPR FC' licence plate on his pick up truck - cuts about in Los Angeles with his boys decked out in full kits

The Genoa Salami warehouse has goneâ˜¹ï¸ But, East Cambridge is changing rapidly, stop me if you’ve heard this before, the old working class area is experiencing gentrification or just plain redevelopment. Very familiar with the neighbourhood, many friends around there at one time, few left, it as mentioned, is so close to downtown Boston that change was inevitable.

Bet you wished you’d bought a few properties round there a few years back be worth a fortune now, just like those parts of E and NE London! It’s so quick straight to the business/government area would be a great place to live, I like areas like that, didn’t feel threatened at all even getting the last train back.
We're proud to fly the flag in America... on 19:09 - Mar 11 with 871 views | queensparker | I watched the Zamora play off on my tod in an Irish pub/sports bar in a neighbourhood of Boston at 8am thanks to a f-k up on holiday dates. While the locals were quietly tucking into their fryups I was halfway through my fifth pint and when the goal went in managed to knock my table over and scare the sh-t out of the whole place. The owners and patrons were wonderful and got the champagne out. Loved Boston ever since, I wish I could remember the name of the pub!
