Got back in the car to hear Jeff Beck’s silver lining playing on the radio. [Post edited 7 Aug 2021 21:00]

14.15.I started walking from Oxford Circus before every game from jan 1st 2020,and it normally takes about 1 hour 15mins,but I didn’t want to take a chance on getting there at 2.30,so I stayed on the tube until Marble Arch instead. I think we’ve only lost 1 home game since I’ve been doing the walk so I can’t really give it up.

It's along time since I've been to HQ but I have done that walk before when I was living in South London and it is lovely on a nice day in Spring or Autumn, a reminder that London is (in places) a very beautiful city.

We beat cardiff 6-1 on the first day I walked followed by wins against swansea, leeds and stoke, and drew with Birmingham. Our only loss was brizzle. And I do enjoy the walk before the games. My Brother thinks I’m mad as he sits in the White Horse supping Guinness. Each to their own I guess. But I won’t be walking for the barnsley game as it’s too early,so I’ll take the blame for the possible defeat.

I walked back to Charing Cross after the Leeds game a few seasons back. It's great walk especially when you're not in a rush and can have an explore. So many interesting hidden pockets around London.
