A few thoughts from Karl Robinson.

“Oxford against QPR holds great memories for fans who remember 86, and for those like me who see the images from that day and know what it means to the club” he said. “The younger generation now have an opportunity to engage with the club and generate the next generation of memories. We are a million miles off what those players in the 80s did and it’s a different trophy and competition these days. But we certainly hope we can create a few good memories for the fans on Tuesday.

“QPR are my London team and always a club I look forward to going to. Loftus Road has a great feel about it, a ground built up the right way. I have been lucky enough to have some good results there so it’s a game I can’t wait for.

”We will be strong as a team. We will make one or two changes but we are still without Sam Long and James Henry who has a scan today to see how bad his injury is. I think he would have made a big difference at Bolton at the weekend; we should have done better in a lot of situations and his calm head is valued here.”

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Nice to hear, that.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Had to look up "gobby". Seems a useful term.

1986 aside...I quite like Oxford. Though then again, I recall playing for a team out of Monks Park (Waddock land), against a team from said university town and they were a right bunch of chunts! We WON 4-3 though

Had a fine old time with some of the 25/30 fans they brought on tour with them to New Hampshire 8/9 years ago, though they were joined joined by a few more U's (ewe's as I like to call 'em), living over here, there was still no more than 50 of 'em. Good banter, wore a Rangers shirt at their games, took the abuse, no problem, was interviewed by BBC Radio Oxford...probably as the novelty feature of the broadcast.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

Is James Henry permanently injured?
