I've accepted it! 16:08 - Feb 26 with 1129 viewsconnell10

After years of fighting against the flow I've accepted we are just a small club punching above its weight that will forever be just average! It's quite liberating, as we slip into oblivion I feel nothing , just oh well we are what we are and shit always finds it's level . My fight has left me and I feel at peace! Thank you ...

AND WHEN I DREAM , I DREAM ABOUT YOU AND WHEN I SCREAM I SCREAM ABOUT YOU!!!!!

The club's cursed with this small club mentality crap.
Always been like that, except that from 1966 to 1996, we largely shook it off.
But, after relegation in 97, we have done everything we possibly can to get that old punching above our weight shite tagged on to us, and here we are.

Don't think we will slip into oblivion, but I accepted quite a while ago... to lower my expectations - think the club have as well. Certainly helps when we are like we are now.

I think of us as a mid-sized club, similar to many others - Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, Charlton Athletic, Crystal Palace just a few examples. What this means is that we'll spend most of our time in the Championship, that is our natural level. We may spend a few years in League One, and may have spells in the Premier League, but mostly we'll be in the Championship and even if we're in the top division, we shouldn't get ideas of 'establishing' ourselves there as eventually we'll return to our natural level. Same for those clubs mentioned and many others.

I think the FFP thing killed us in terms of what we are and it has taken for the fallout of that to distill to now to show how damaging it has been. On the other hand without the legal team we got to limit the damage at the time we may have been talking about QPR retrospectively. At least we exist.

Never knowingly right.

Yeah, but we should, most of the time, at least be a decent Championship side.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.
