Gaffer on tonight's win 23:21 - Aug 27 with 2777 viewsbosh67

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

Am wondering if i was at a different game last night, i thought we were a distinct second best for long periods of the game, lacking attacking intent until the subs in the final quarter. Luton could've been out of sight were it not for Walsh.

But i'll take it of course.

Yes I thought Luton were stronger and faster, with a clearer plan that they were executing more effectively. So to get the win is very pleasing. We definitely improved second half too.

we've got to have very different tactics to get a result on Friday. I think Luton will go up a gear and we'll have to try and match them.

I fully expect Luton to gain revenge on Friday - we aren't at their level yet. I just want to see steady improvement. A goal for Celar would be great too. We can take a break and be ready to in September.

Luton definitely had more attacking pocession, but Lloyd & Madsen had the clearest chances. Yes, Walsh made some good saves, but I can't recall any save in the 90 minutes that he wouldn't have been expected to make as he is good 'keeper.

We finished stronger than we started. Luton didn't.

It'll be interesting. I think we kept more players fresh for Friday than they did. They're bigger and stronger, but we'll be bringing in Field, Madsen, Dembele, Smyth and Frey. A very different side with different challenges. Think Luton will win, but the players at least should have the confidence that they can match them.

Bare bones.

Luton definitely controlled the match the majority of the time but we hung in there and stayed in the game and always looked dangerous on our counters.

I really enjoyed the game - high energy and tempo and it was absorbing from minute 1 to 94.

Also 4 fantastic penalties ......

I didn't think much of Luton to be honest I thought Plymouth looked a better footballing side.

I thought Luton were dominating for most of that second half also and with Doughty firing in those lethal looking kicks it seemed only a matter of time that they would pull ahead .
We gave away a few frees in very dangerous spots also but survived thankfully.
Their forwards are big and fast and are going to get lots of penalties with the way they move the ball in the box we need to match last nights excellent tackling on Friday.
That giant Adebayo is some player but he got hurt late and only stayed on because they had used up all their subs and to take a penalty maybe .It never got that far thanks to us .
I think we can win Friday if he is out
