Now i know i'm an old Stones bore, but the two night at Hyde Park were ridiculously good, proably best i've seen them for 10 years i reckon...stripped back, half a beat flower, mixed up setlists (at least for the first half) and Mick master of all he surveys with his voice and physicality totally unhindered by age. Took young Crowe to the first one...she's into crappy (imo) r'n'b stuff and was utterly gobsmacked by the whole thing..in a very good way...knew this was different.
But Vienna tonight with Ukrainian choir of youngters....proper, even if they lacked a bit of bass.
Absolutely devastated. 7 years of medical training and hard work resulting in a friend being struck off for a minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients. He is no longer able to continue in the profession he loves. A genuinely nice guy and a brilliant vet.
Well that was a damp squib. We lacked any intensity until the last 10 minutes. Swansea were quite similar in style to us without much threat up front, played from the back, high line, etc. So many fouls, the game never got going and the ref didn't really have a grip on it and missed a couple of howlers. But it shows where we are that a 0-0 almost feels like a loss. I said yesterday that i would be delighted with 4 points from today and next Saturday so on we go to the weekend. You Rs.
