Accordng to Dave Mac we have signed Timothy Akindileni from Aberdeen - a 6ft 4 inch 17 year old centre back.
Was signed before transfer deadline, but due to admin problems may not be able to play until next season.

Great - he was the one I was left wondering about when the venetian blinds slammed shut.

Looks promising from the info available.

Promising.

But probably a bit young to step up next season if we lose most of our CBs?

Hasn't this been on the cards since mid January. I thought Aberdeen brought him into their youth setup but never got round to giving him a pro deal.

Yep, you're right. Quite a few Scottish sports journos were reporting it was happening.

If he was here we'd just be able to magically find a bit of paper in a drawer that says he signed weeks ago.

Beethoven wrote his first symphony, aged four. Nadia Comăneci was 14 years of age when she took the 1976 Olympics by storm. To put it bluntly, if he's not in the Starting XI by his 18th birthday, he can f..k off back to Scotland!

Same goes for the old Brazilian bloke we bought.

Beethoven didn't write his first symphony aged 4. In fact he was well into adulthood when he first ventured into the symphonic form.
You might be confusing him with Mozart who was the child prodigy of that era but even he didn't write a symphony until he was 8.
Mozart & Haydn (who taught both Mozart & Beethoven at different times) were the 2 who really popularised the symphony in Vienna and beyond. Both were prolific, Haydn wrote more than 100. Mozart wrote 42 (I believe that's why Douglas Adams chose that particular number to be the answer to life, the universe and everything). Especially impressive when you think that Moz died in his 30s.
Good old Ludwig Van lived into his 50s and only turned out a mere 9 symphonies. But man, what symphonies they are. Completely revolutionised music and the whole idea of the composer as tortured artist. And that's why he's the GOAT.

I’m still happy we signed Morgan and Varrane ahead of Haydn

Even if Newcastle were releasing him

According to Aussie media, we've also signed Jaylan Pearman from Perth Glory for around £200k. 19yo forward. Presumably for DS, initially.

reminds me of my 2nd favourite classical music joke……

Why could Beethoven never find his music teacher?

Because he was Haydn

Someone at the club, and I suspect it's Nourry, must have a mate or two in Australia.
