| Women’s cricket world cup 18:15 - Oct 30 with 1347 views | stowmarketrange | India were set a target of 339 to beat Australia today, and they managed it with an over to spare. It was a world record run chase in a knockout match supposedly. Just a shame that we got blown away by South Africa yesterday as we’ve beaten both of the finalists in the group stages, but couldn’t win when it mattered most. There will be a new name on the trophy on Sunday, and I reckon India will be favourites with the crowd behind them, but it should be a good final anyway. | | | | |

As with the men's, now they've won that their depth of team and resource over the next few decades is going to be frightening! Definitely good for women's cricket though, which I think is a cracking sport.
| Women’s cricket world cup on 11:06 - Nov 3 with 665 views | Superhoops2808 | I still think its Australia at the top With England, India and South Africa all pushing them more than ever. Like you GB, I love the womens game and in all honesty find it more entertaining than the mens. Respect to HarmanPreet Kaur - She has been the mainstay of that team for years and is an excellent captain. Was shocked she is 36 and not sure how much longer she will be around. And Wolvaaardt is another great captain. That SA team is growing every tournament and will surely break their duck under her. Very clinical and again played a captains innings. Shame it wasnt enough. Disappointed that the England women will play NZ at Kent next year. They were shocking last time they played there and not really a serious test. Sadly Australia and SA rarely play there in touring games. | | | |

Yeah I love men's cricket but the relentless big-blokes slogging it is starting to leave me cold. Women's cricket has the nuances that made me first fall in love with the sport 45 years ago! I am unimpressed by the England team these days. I think Edwards has been disappointingly reticent to make changes, remove banker names like Jones who never seems to play well in the big knockout games, and has stymied our more x factor bowlers like Filer, Glenn and Ecclestone. NSB is not exactly a tactical genius, either. I'd make Dean captain, let NSB concentrate on batting, get rid of Jones, always play Filer, Capsey, Glenn, Bell, Ecclestone, and replace Dunkley with a youngster.
