Five or six players pulled out of the England squads because they didnt want to play thus risking injuries for their club sides games. So the rotating wasnt in his hands.

This three week break just a few games into the season is nuts. Totally wrong in my eyes. And the fact its there, has meant in the championship, all teams played five games in a fourteen day period, which is mad. Creating injury risks all round.
I am watching the England games but i cant say the results or the performances mean anything to me or most others. Seriously hope none of our players pick up injuries, such as Burrell. Am expecting it tbf and would be maddening, if so.

Best to treat international qualifiers like pre season friendlies or first round league cup matches, just completely ignore them unless you really have nothing else to do.
If the year ends in an odd number, 47 competitive games is more than enough to enjoy yourself.
If it ends in an even number, enjoy a cheaper than usual holiday last two weeks of June, nothing to see there and take in the last two weeks of the relevant international competition, that’s all you ever need to watch.
Only caution is the holiday discount is not so prevalent these days as more and more realise the futility of group games. |  | | |
