Hartlepool United have bolstered their midfield with the acquisition of midfielder Simon Walton following his release from Plymouth Argyle.
The 24-year-old becomes Pools' second signing of the summer, joining Jonathan Franks in making Victoria Park his new home.
Walton, who began his career with hometown club Leeds, was made captain of Argyle last term and ended the year as their top scorer with eight goals.
Apparently when asked, he thought that moving to a new ground, but still within the same area, was a great idea. Keeping it simple, say 30 - 35,000 & with the same close atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered. He looked forward to being able to come back to play against us in the near future. |  |
