If I was Hughes I would start by picking my team for West Ham including anyone I expected to be match fit for for that game, maybe 13 players .
Then I would pick a team for tonight using the other players , as I was reminded a few days ago the 25 doesnt count today so use the fringe players and the kids if nec to fill the team and bench .
Give it our best shot tonight relaxed in the knowledge that the team for Monday is safe .
Then tonk West Ham Monday .
I would take 3 points Monday over a place in the next round but who knows we might have both ..... or neither  |  | | |

Pretty much this for me, maybe swap Taarabt for Hoilett but this still plays a strong 11 and gives certain people that need it the time (Cisse, M'Bia, Diakite, Adel etc)
Maybe Mackie for Park too as you know he will bust his lungs for you and wont treat the game as anything other than the last 90 minutes of football he might ever play |  |

We need to play a strong side and the only players I'd rest are Zamora, Dyer and Faurlin. That still leaves us plenty of quality to choose from and Hughes needs a win tonight to build momentum after some good performances.

SWP (everyone’s been raving about his defensive work, I’d be tempted to stick him in at right back as we have no cover)
Onoua (left back, can watch Mcanuff)
Hill
Nelsen
(if Mbia is fit I’d be tempted to rest Nelsen and give the new guy a start)
Mackie (needs a game and won’t let anyone down could always swap him with SWP)
Granero (Have to play one of Granero or Faulin simply to get the passing right although I’d look to swap them around the 70 mark)
Diakite (needs a game for fitness, possibly bring on Derry around the 60 mark)
Taarabt (if fit, he too needs a game to get some sharpness back)
Cisse (needs game time)
Hoilet (Looked good on Sunday but still needs a bit more match sharpness as he hasn’t had many minutes on the pitch)
To me that side looks decent and I would expect something from the game.

We've shortened from 1.95 to 1.85 on Betfair which might indicate a strongish side taken the field.
If M'Bia is fit then I'd try him with someone who he might have to play with in the League. I'd play Ephraim as he needs game time and that RHS deep midfielder position seems quite important to Hughes. Would play Mackie up front as he's the back up striker and we've only got two others fit.
So that leaves:

definately need to play a strong team... we havn't won yet in the league..another loss and its another confidence sucker..need to kickstart the winning mentality.. no game Saturday so plenty of recovery time.. can rest 1 or 2 sure, but shouldn't be putting out a B team. IMO |  | | |
