Thought Gary Numan was brilliant...mesmeric even. |

Well that's a claim and half which i would dispute by about 15-20 other bands. But i'd love to see them on this tour - i'm tracking the sites for something sensibly priced. |

Seems a thoroughly decent bloke, made of the right stuff. I like him based on this. Wishing him the very best. |

I'm fine with that statement. Yes it's warm and fluffy but it's a nice envelope around our new manager and a couple of pretty exciting signings. Feeling good about the new season until i don't. It's fine. |

Easy to say in hindsight, but it feels we got away with the decision to bowl first in the last test. To do it again on a batting wicket is either foolish or arrogant. |

I definitely was in the Crawley Out! camp, but that's why i'm not a selector. He's now among the first on the teamsheet in my book. Him and Duckett are the best opening pairing since Strauss and Cook. As i said earlier...our top 6 batting line up are proper. And that's without Bethel who looks a fliipping mustard prospect. |

you'd hope it's Arsenal...they feel like cash buyers. Spurs under Levy will come with a load player exchange, deferred payment, conditional stuff that we'd probably get done over. |

Brook is the most exciting batsmen i've seen hit the first team since Root first came on the scene. He's so young and everyone in whatever sport is allowed a brain fade/error, it's what makes sport what it is. He has the ability and brain to score big and probably captain England Test team for many years to come. |

Marti had a kind of Gigi DiCanio thing about him. Love(d) them both. |

Without wanting to be sycophantic, reading the LFW match report after a win. And also a shout out for the first coffee of the day. And the first beer around 11.30am on the beach on holiday. [Post edited 24 Jun 20:44]

Whichever team had won today, that is why Test Cricket is the beautiful format and must be protected at all costs. 7 centuries, 35 wickets, pure ebb and flow throughout. Glorious stuff. And it seems England have developed a less wreckless version of Bazball. If only we could get a firing Wood and Archer fit, we could give the Aussies a proper go but without i think we may fall short on their home turf. Batting line up looks the most solid for about 15 years or so. |

Not overly concerned about this result really. Bit concerned at the number of Irish players chosen who are greats, but at the tailend of their playing careers. And if Smith gets chosen again at FB, we're in trouble deep. He's not very good at catching. |

Not convinced generally about Pope, and it wasn't a dominant 100 by any means, but god it helped us get back in the game. Well done son. |
