My parents were born in the late 20's and were teenagers during the war. I grew up in the sixties, with my mom filling the house with 'big band' music. Even my high school principal, Mr. Rudder would play Glenn Miller over the school PA system every morning before classes started. This one's for you Mom and Mr. Rudder.
Sorry to hear that Paul. My girlfriend, who I met 7 years ago has a golden retriever, he's 11 years old now, and we know that at the most he has two years left, probably one. We are retired now and he is part of our daily routine, he's like the patriarch of the family, he has his routines, which include several naps per day. We are all growing old together, we make a fuss of him everyday because we know that any day can be his last. My partner will be devistated when he goes, she bought him after her divorce and they shared her first house as a single person since she was 18. I'm sure she will miss him more than me, but I'm OK with that.
Indeed. Really looking forward to see what takes place in the summer. Huddersfield need to win the last two games with a plus 12 goal difference to over take us, this is assuming, of course, that we get no further points. I'm quietly positive.
Just wondering what has happened to our resident leftie. I enjoyed most of his posts and he was a fairly regular poster, haven't seen anything from him since Feb. I hope he is OK.
Michael Frey, 95th minute header to win it against Coventry, we stay up by the skin of our teeth, Stoke sail off into the sunset, not to be seen for a good 5 years. All hail the Swiss guard!
The song that shocked my grandmother. The lyrics that left this 15 year salivating at the prospect. Morosly listening to 'all by myself' as a 19 year old stationed in Keflavik Iceland, during the long dark winter of 75/76. God bless you and RIP Eric Carmen*
Strange comment to make Digs after probably the best performance we've put in over the last few years. They, to the man, have done exactly that and played their hearts out for the badge. I think Stan is very proud with that performance. Edit - sorry looking at the time of this post, it was before the end of the match. So they were very much inspired by the memory of Stan.
I have to admit that I emit a gufffaw with a shake of the head several times during the stream when they say 'Begovic goes long' and 9 times out of 10 the kick drops at least 10 metres short of the halfway line. Love him or loathe him, it is what it is.
