The time has come to chop in the 3.0D Jag XF and get something a bit more practical and frugal. With all the hoo har about Diesels these days i'm torn between getting a petrol 1.4tsi Octavia (i'm not a badge snob and its a Golf anyway) or a Mazda 6 or 3 2.2 diesel

I only come into the city on match days so wont sit in traffic too often and it would get a 20 mile motorway runs to work every day.

Advice is appreciated

I know there are some well traveled individuals on here so i need to tap into that collective knowledge and see if you lot have recommendations on somewhere hot and sunny for a weeks relaxation any time from Nov to Feb.

Have considered places like the Canary Islands, Cape Verde or Cuba Mexico or the Caribbean but am game for anything..........then i will discuss it with "Her Indoors"

Wife (and mother inlaw) and i are spending a week in the west of Ireland next year and are unsure where to get a cottage. We know for sure that we want to see the Cliffs of Moher but is there anywhere thats a good location to see a bit more. We have seen some nice cottages in the Galway area or some further south towards Kenmare and Killarney.

Ireland appears to be like the west of Scotland, stunning views but long drives in between places.

Any advice will be helpful

BBC have just announced that Jezza has been suspended after a fracas with a BBC producer.

If they cancel Top Gear they can whistle for the TV licence, its the only thing worth watching on the BBC

Just got back in the truck and heard TF is going to be on 5 live's sports week this morning. program starts at 8.30am. i thought he tweeted he was on his way back to Malaysia so it may well be a recorded interview but should be an interesting listen anyway.
