Moore picks up on Warnock's abandoned farewell tour - Interview
at 11:18 20 Oct 2023

Talking of The Terriers, some on here may know my mate Hudders Craig.
His Dad Gordon passed away last week. Gordon was at Aberdeen with Denis Law and they were best man at each others weddings. When Hudders bought Law, Gordon went with him and then moved onto Bristol City
I’m pretty sure Gordon said he played against QPR at White City - maybe someone can see if the dates work?

Anyway, Gordon was a huge character with hundreds of stories. It was a pleasure to know him

RIP Gordon

A Good Night's Sleep - tips
at 07:19 30 Sep 2023

This was a topic with some mates in the pub the other day

1 guy swears by the “walking route” method:
think of a route that you walk regularly, start at the beginning and picture every element in detail
Ie your front door, driveway, pavement, houses you pass, bus stops, shops etc

He swears you won’t arrive at your destination as you’ll be asleep

Hope that helps

The odd fellows?

The Mad Squirrel (tap room but has cask/keg beer) on King Street is good
(On the same road as what used to be the the Robert Peel for older R’s fans with good memories)

Unfortunately, I couldn’t run today due to a tendon injury, so had to defer to 2024.

Hudders fans to the left of the away end unfurled a banner saying

Thanks! I’ll take a look

There was a QPR Runner at the London Half at the Olympic Park today, so I gave him a “You R’s!”

Doing the Olympic Park one on Sunday

Won’t be wearing the hoops on the big day either, as I’ll be in the Sally Army Striders vest

(Clive, if this is against any rules, please feel free to delete)

Hi all, as some of you will know I’ve been on a bit of health kick for the past couple of years and am planning for this to culminate in running the London 2023 Marathon on St George’s Day (23/04)

I’ll be running on behalf of the Salavation Army, so if anyone would like to make a donation, that would be greatly appreciated

Cheers, Ian

Loved today

Thought they’re 1st equaliser was a handball
Thought they’re second was a trip on our player
Didn’t understand the Lino flagging for their “3rd” but glad he did
We were lucky when they hit the bar when Sennie was out of the area 1st half
(Haven’t seen any replays as yet)

Chair and Willock were outstanding. Paal improved through the game

Shout out to NothernR who told me before KO we’d win

Your picture in a programme
at 16:50 17 Apr 2021

When Trevor Francis scored his perfect hat trick at Villa away, we played spurs at home the next week. I seem to recall a photo of me in the background when he subbed himself. Don’t have the programme anymore

Aguer - ooh !!! We're you at that game
at 20:58 26 Feb 2021

We went up the night before, as we had tickets to see Elvis Costello that night.
Good gig, then afterwards we went to canal street (drop the c & the s is the old joke) to see all the drag queens. Then we end up in the casino and Andy wins about £500.

Next day, we meet a city mate of mine in a tiny pub (circus something) and alls good.
Get to the ground, and Andy’s lost his ticket. bump into a bloke from the crown & sceptre and he says he has a spare ticket, which he gives to Andy.

it was all very friendly until Rooney scored a penalty for united. Rangers fans then start taunting the city fans and it all becomes very hostile. The walk back to the station would have been eventful if the score has remained as was.

Anyway, the rest is history as they say - great weekend

I was at that open day too - it’s fair to say Banno and Fenwick didn’t do themselves any favours - shame.

absolutely loved Gary Bannister as a player though

London 2012
at 15:34 11 Aug 2020

As a lot of people know, I spent 18 months working on 2012, so have some incredible memories.

I was working at Hyde Park, so got to see the Brownlees win Gold & Bronze.
Then I got a call from a colleague reminding me that I’d done him a favour in 2011 (I got him in to Wimbledon) and he’d like to return the favour... with seats in with the media on the finish line for the 200m & 800m finals!

I also spent a day on the park going to the velodrome, basketball, handball & hockey.

Best 18 months of my life
(And still see colleagues who became friends)
