Bit harsh on key to drop out after they way he's performed, but Cabango was pretty solid and assured next to Welsh against Stoke and Sheffield United. He knows there will be pressure on him now to perform which is no bad thing, I'm expecting a captain's performance tonight. |

Wrexham are seeing it as Derby, we apparently less so. I just hope that doesn't translate on the pitch because you'll have one team baying for blood and the other treating it as 'just another game'.
For me it's a Derby (albeit Welsh one, not local) and I want to see the swans come out swinging tomorrow to show they want it as much as Wrexham. |

Impressive it was early in in the game as well when it was against fresh legs and the game was still competitive. Sometimes see goals like that late in when a match has already been won/lost. Top stuff fair play. Can't wait for tomorrow. |

Yes - Cabango, Welsh, Seelt, Lissah, Heywood.
5 is enough to cover 2 positions rarely changed from game to game even with one of those (Cabango) slightly crocked at the moment.
I suspect Matos will want to move Lissah back to RB when Cabango returns but given how he has played at CB in the last two matches and Key also playing well that may not be a given. So we may actually be short at RB. |

We won't really know until their futures are fully resolved. Both may come back into the squad and be with us for the next 7+ years.
Both may sell for less than £3mill.
Either way we'll recover some of the investment but unlikely all IMO. |

Good article thank you. Can't argue with much of that.
Think we need to give some recognition to Gorringe and the board too. I was very sceptical when he came in, but he certainly seems to be getting more right than wrong at the moment, particularly with the recruitment of Matos, Ben Stevens and the partnership with Jamestown Analytics which on the last window is very exciting.
Excellent work Tom and long may it continue. |

I think the first 25 minutes of the match last night will scare a lot of teams off coming here and try to outplay us. Wrexham will make it ugly, try to grind us down and grab something from a breakaway or set piece much like Sheffield Utd.
I'm going for a dominant performance but only a 1-0 win. |

He's been one of our best players so far this season. He's made a couple of wrong decisions this game but is busy and causing Watford problems. I wouldn't say this is a bad performance by any means. |

As good a half of football as I've seen for some time. The opening 15 minutes were on another level. .
All the fluid movement from the midfield and attacking players is causing havoc. Watford didn't have a clue where to look.

With regards to Maswanhise, could we see us signing him and loaning him straight back to Motherwell until January at least if we keep Vipotnik, therefore securing a player for the future but not overloading our locker room? I have no idea how our finances are looking though to allow enable that? [Post edited 1 Sep 10:37]
