Yeah, that could work too. All bodes well for us but, as always, we have to try and get it done ourselves, not rely on others. |

FT - Hull win 3-2 which means Coventry are almost certainly out of play offs. GD between them and Norwich is so similar Coventry would need to win their three last games, Norwich to lose both and Hull to lose at least one game out of their two for Coventry to get in the playoffs. We can’t control what happens at Blackburn v Coventry but we certainly can at Coventry v QPR so I’m taking tonight’s result as a plus and hope by the time we play them they just won’t give a hoot. Feels a bit like the QPR v Bristol City last game of last season. We were safe then and you could see the stuffing was out of them so i hope it’ll be the same for Coventry after playing a lot more games than us this season. [Post edited 24 Apr 22:01]

Sat in the home end at away games on half a dozen occasions and we never won once so it never became a problem for me! |

The Olympic Legacy organisation fked up so much (not just on the stadium but the Olympic site as a whole) that they had to pretty much give it away or have it empty and falling apart. Not only just give it away but then throw in £millions of taxpayers money too. West Ham must have been wetting themselves laughing at such a good deal. IIRC the stadium was meant to be designed in such a way that it would be downgraded to a smaller capacity athletics stadium (moving national athletics from Crystal Palace) but that never happened so they were left with a rubber duck of a stadium that was not designed or fit for football use. It was like when Briatore announced on the pitch that the 4 year plan was to have QPR in the Champions League (then edited for history to be 'getting into the premier League') What planet was he on? Not only did it mean actually getting promoted to the PL first but then to get into the top 4 and effectively ousting any one of the likes of Arsenal & Chelsea whilst at the same time muscling ahead of Villa, Tottenham, Everton (yes, at that time it was!), Fulham etc etc. What a loon. |

One is assuming that if we (or any club) gets promoted that the abundance of riches is then to the benefit of the club. It isn't, it just all goes on insane player transfer fees, player salaries and agents fees. If it didn't clubs wouldn't have huge debt, FFP problems and 155% income/player salary ratios. How much does the club actually get to spend on anything else? Very little I'd imagine. |

The modern fan is a parrot/parody of what they see on TV, social media etc. Can't think for themselves, basically. |

Lowe had to wait 12 seconds. Diddums. In the context of the situation of course Marti wanted to celebetare with his coaches. I don't think he deliberately set out to make Lowe wait, just 'in the moment'. That last 30 seconds or so I thought Preston would score. We went from having a free kick right by the R block corner to PNE having a succession of throw ins and then a worldy cross field pass which suddenly put them on the front foot and we couldn't get a touch on the ball. From the centre of the lower Loft and the sun in my eyes it was so hard to see what was going on. I was just dreading seeing the School End top tier celebrate. [Post edited 22 Apr 12:59]

I cant see us beating Leeds, a draw at best. Even with their games in hand I can’t see Coventry making the play offs. They now have four games in two weeks compared to our two. Their game against Hull this week will be interesting to see how they react to yesterday. A draw at Coventry would be good. 52 points and that would need Birmingham to win at Huddersfield, who themselves could survive, and to win at home to Norwich who need to make certain a play off place. If we draw/lose with Leeds and Huddersfield beat Birmingham then we are safe as I doubt Huddersfield would then win at Ipswich by 7-8 goals (and we lose at Coventry by 2-3 goals. I think Stoke are capable of getting 3 points on the last day so they’re probably out of the equation. As others have said, we are in the best position of the lot below us. [Post edited 22 Apr 9:22]

Well, that worked out well. My son goes to the toilet and PNE nearly score (great save from point blank) then i have to take my daughter to the toilet and we score. Thankfully i saw it while waiting for her but she missed what should have been her first goal. Still, we were all happy with the win despite a very nervy last 10 mins. Good day out all round. McD’s in Westfield, went into the upside down house on Wood Lane (not worth it for the price but the kids enjoyed it), finally got to see a win and a clean sheet too. [Post edited 20 Apr 21:47]

Mid 80's-Mid 90' lower loft (terracing and seats). Usually to the left of the goal (as you are facing the pitch) Mid 90's to around 2016, Ellerslie Road. Mainly blocks T and R. Due to family commitments have only made a handful of games each season since and usually lower loft as it's the family stand and kid's for free. Have had occasional game in the upper loft (the 0-6 v Arsenal I was stuck right in the corner, HU I think. Horrible) Seen one game in the executive boxes. Blackburn in the 95/96 relegation season. A few games scattered around the South Africa Road stand and a handful in the paddocks (6-0 v Chelsea was in the west paddock) And have had a few games (most recently v Sheff Weds) in the school end lower. The only place I've never sat in the school upper. Who knows, one day I may just give it a try just to be able to tick every box. |

"Here at home has always been a tough place for the opposition to come to...." Not for the last two seasons sadly :( If we stay up (and I'm quietly confident we will) that has to change. |

If Southampton win then PNE need to win all three and Norwich to lose all three and hope all the other teams in the play off chase drop points too. |

The six pointers are crucial. It was lovely to win at Leicester but i’d swap that in a heartbeat for a win against Sheff Weds. We’d still have the same points as now but Weds would now be three points less and with Birmingham and Huddersfield playing each other, both can’t win. |
