My thoughts are that the lad Bellingham continues to make me look stupid (not hard) I doubted him when he was getting caps as a raw teenager Absolute quality now though Safegate HAS to take Mainoo If Phillips and Henderson are in ahead of him then it’s sackable!!! Sadly it seems Eze will never feature for England as others way ahead of him now Christ we are pony at the back |

I concur with that midfield I know it's putting huge pressure on a young mans shoulders but as soon as I saw the Mainoo play for United I saw a star in the making. He ticks so many boxes with his only flaw at the moment seeming to be he is still building up stamina. He is destined to be a world star and I'd have him in the squad for sure. Rice is on a different level when he's firing and really can do the job of two people in there. Bellingham -- made me eat my words!! I really couldn't see the fuss when he was getting picked early doors and I thought his first few caps weren't deserved. However how wrong was I? Absolute superstar already. |

I can only assume your post is designed to be cantankerous? I'll state now I'm not getting into a deep entrenchment position here or stirring up any political bollox that'll contribute to a 20 page thread. However I'd wager you know your statements are wrong and contrary. It does mean a lot - to a lot of people. Plenty of patriots throughout the world love their flags, Englanders no different. Funnily enough, quite a few of us who the St Georges cross mean a lot to can actually articulate things despite your prejudiced standpoint. All flags give a sense of belonging, symbolism, pride and kinship which people like to unite behind and have a small sense of pride in their nation. My flag does not make me insecure... far from it. You may find the cross ugly and boring - your choice and I cannot argue that. For me it is the simplicity that means so much -- it's been uncomplicated for about 800 years and is recognized throughout the world. I do however have a slight preference for the Union Jack in terms of look. As for it being "associated with the far right (EDL)" I would proffer that just by going from your post that people like yourself will automatically label anyone you see with our flag a racist as long as they tick a few boxes. It does make me laugh that you are more prejudice than most in that respect -- look up the meaning of that word and break it down. As a symbol that unites the nation I would beg to differ - you'll no doubt see plenty on display this summer until Gareth throws away another chance of success and many will get the bunting out and come together to watch and celebrate. The type of people complaining are probably those who are passionate about their country and their flag (which seems to make you very uneasy, scared and extremely pompous) and those are most certainly the people I'd want wearing any shirt representing a nation that I designed. I'm not calling for the purple flags to be burnt, I do find it all it bit posturing from all sides, my feelign is the flag should be the traditional colours. The way it's been interfered with I don't like but I have more important things to get emotive about. That's that from me [Post edited 25 Mar 11:09]

Gareth is weird juxtaposition for me You can’t really argue with his record He did rebuild fan and player bonds when he first came in Holds himself well and seems a decent enough chap But then you have the Gareth Safegate side of things He just doesn’t seem to have it in him to do something left field to win the big ones I’ll never forgive him for that feeling I had walking home from Wembley in the pissin rain as our best ever chance to win a trophy on home soil had been stodged away against a bang average Italy. He’ll take his favourites in his squad, not those in form…. I will combust when I see Kalvin Phillips name on the list as you just know will happen. Cannot see us winning anything under him and he’ll be boring the tourists at Old Trafford soon enough |

Is that in case they get a SIX point deduction (reduced to 4 on appeal)??? Unfortunately they will always be viewed as one of the "modern day elite" as they've bought a place at the top table, bought titles, bought trophies. Even worse than most.... it was all done with allegedly stolen money. As noted above.... you can buy almost everything, but you cannot buy class. FCUK 'EM (IN THE GOB) |

I have us as getting relegated on 36 points A nasty 4 point deduction incoming because Notts Florist and Everton both successfully appeal theirs and there has to be a mug club somewhere to pick up the tab. I will be genuinely shocked and stunned if we manage to circle the drain again this season. At some stage the centrifugal force of these owners will drag us down the gurgler. |

Three Pigeons long since gone. Was shut for years then got turned into some burger place (which shut down really quickly) and now being developed into something else. Red Lion recently re-opened as a pub. Nice but not one I frequent The Rose & Crown took a huge uptick last summer as they got a great chef in - food was superb. My new local as its at the foot of my new road.... just pipping The New Inn. |

My feeling is that this huge moment for football that will be enshrined by law will basically have the square root of fcuk all difference on the state of the game. In fact it'll probably make things worse. It's no different to tax rules. As soon as a new regulation comes out the self same people who drafted the "law" jump over to the private sector as Consultants and set about ways around that law. I cannot see the new UK Labour Goverment wanting to go into bat with Man City in two years time and demoting them to League Two. However.... should a club like Lootown step out of line again then maybe, just maybe, you may see the sanctioning of 31 point deductions like they carried years ago. Nothing to see here......... |
