Marti-His Part in our Victory-match thread vs Weeds
at 22:23 26 Apr 2024

Speechless... hoarse.... and nearly in tears..... what is it about this bloody club!!!
There have been times coming away from grounds, and especially Loftus Road when I seriously doubted my sanity... when we never spoke in the car... when the Sunday morning in my house was purgatory.
Times when you say to yourself enough is enough.... that is me finished.
Then you come on here and it is family, we are all hurting, we are all p!ssed off.... but you start to chuckle and go again.
So thank you the boys tonight... you have made me proud of my club again.... and the LFW family... for basically being here, picking ourselves up and going again.... enjoys lads these nights don't come often

What a first half for us.... and we totally deserve to be 2 up. That first 25 minutes Leeds were chasing shadows and for me that was a better period than anything we did against WBA. No exaggerating but some of our football was sublime and this augers well for next season if we keep Marti.
Chair had a fantastic first 25 minutes and was everywhere.... Willock as rediscovered his love for football and for us... and Andersen just purred
The defence looked sid and Bego made 2 great saves... but the man of the half for me is Colback .... dominant in midfield when we were pressing and mopped up loads when we were defending
45 mins to go. Leeds will obviously come at us hard and fast.... need to get through a tough 20 odd minutes and if we can then we can win this

We took my great nephew to that game. .. his first. Suitably decked in Kit and full of wide eyes optimism..... a 1000 questions and bubbling with enthusiasm.... a minute in and QPR decided that was enough of that sh!t the lad needs to get accustomed to disappointment so let's do it early.
Terrible day and so quiet on the way home.... yes its been a looooooong season

Was in the Loft that day.. remember my brother took his newly wed wife to that game.... her first. We got in and remember walking up the steps to the Loft at about 2.15 to be met with a wall of people.
The only game I think I stood at a 45 degree angle to the pitch.... never saw either ball enter the net.... it was difficult at the best of times to see the ball at the loft.... but that day just impossible.... rambert the Stan run... and the ball being hit and then the pandemonium...... great day, great times to be a R

Palace put price tag on Eze
at 14:44 25 Apr 2024

Work with a Parlarse fan and he seems quite resigned to the fact that both Eze and Elise will move on this summer.
They seem happy with the Wharton kid from Blackburn and confident that they will replace the stars. Be nice to get a little more money Eze who is the gift that keeps giving... show how sad a state of affairs we are in

Same thought he had a reallygood first half.... was everywhere and played some lovely touches off.... and is about the only player who can take a corner or free kick.
Worrying that he tired considerably in the 2nd half.... but there again quite a few did.... hopefully just nervous energy run out. With a better attack think he would be a better player.... let's be fair there is not a lot to aim for up front

Always said he is the first name on the team sheet for me. One of the genuine unsung heroes that every team needs.
Goes about his work with the minimal of fuss and even during those dark days of the Rhinestone Cowboy always left everything on the pitch
My POTY as well... though JCS is a strong contender

Couldn't log on as so nervous about today.... 60 years of this with this bloody lot.... and still like a kid when we have results like today...
The game itself was pretty ropey oneteam nervous and the other team really not bothered.
But thought we did everything right today. The back 4 was solid, and JCS was my man of the match he really is a class player. Thought Andersen was back to his best in the 1st half but tired.... and Willock was tremendous.....
My last is Dykes... I still think he's a poor player ... but today he scored, made a nuisance of himself so well done son
My only gripe is subs again.... thought he left them a little late but we won so who cares....
Marti we have to keep him .... thank Fcuk this is nearly over

Tiger a chance on me but don't let me down Hull Vs QPR Match Thread
at 09:23 13 Apr 2024

Will miss yet another game as Mrs MinT managed to book tickets for The Full Monty this afternoon with 2 of the daughters..................
But " I Have a Dream" that the mighty hoops would rip the Tigers and new one and the threat and gloom over Shepherds Bush will finally be lifted. I can see come curtain down today that there could be "Kisses of Fire" given to the unsuspecting theatre patron next to me.
So I hope you guys "Don't Shut me Down" when I say truthfully I can't see us winning here, as we just don't score goals. But "The Name of The Game" is winning and if just for once a forward decides to go against everything they know, and score us a goal or 2, we could be coming back with a win from "Another Town, Another Train" I just hope at Hull central we are not heard to say "Shepherds Bush John, which way Shepherds Bush?"
Draw hopefully for me and another point nearer salvation which will have me "Head Over Heels" and the hope of Championship football next year is "Not Slipping Through my Fingers"

That is disappointing if we could only have held on then we would be all but safe.
Really poor by Bego, no keeper should have done that in this position
Still I would have taken a point and it is another closer to survival
Bit of luck Hull will be on the beach Saturday and another point I think would make us safe.
As Melchant said.........bugger
