I'm a Dub but I was crying at the end of the match which I have just watched 'as live'.
Great performance and a day that will live long in the memory.
A great season all round and the changes made with the 2 pointers - I do agree that they should only be from open play - and the restructed All-Ireland series is Exhibit A in how a sport can break free from traditions and become a better sport.
This season - including the League - Ive enjoyed the Gaelic Football far more than I have soccer and thats nothing to do with how poor QPR have been.
If someone said to me that by 2030 I would have stopped watching soccer and only watched Gaelic Football I wouldn't be surprised.
Anyway, Mayo win Sam and I'm feeling happy and emotional for them. |

All Ireland football final today...
As a Dub it's a tough one...
Do I want Kerry to lose or is the Mayo curse so funny that I want it to continue a little while longer...
Kerry aren't unbeatable but you have to be at your very best to beat them and I don't think that will be enough for Mayo.

Fantastic post.
I, as I posted above, have heard great things about him and his family but it's nice to read your first-hand experience.
I really hope it works out for him as he deserves it. |

All games allowed to be streamed by the competing clubs will still be available and for £10.
My question is about the full match replays often available on the site a few days after a match.
Due to various commitments I can't watch most games live on matchday so rely heavily on the full game being available shortly afterwards. Does anyone know if this will be continued next season and, if so, will I be able to watch for free or will I need a monthly QPR+ subscription going forwards? |

Within hours of Taylor Richards signing there was already rumours circulating about him in some circles.
All I'm hearing about Lamptey is that he's a good kid from a good family and he's here to knuckle down and try to get his career back on track. |

If your entire experience of QPR fans online is on LFW then may I suggest that you don't look at Twitter?
More QPR fans post on there than do on here and you will be absolutely aghast at some of the things you read if your benchmark for judging fan's opinions is this site.
I do think it is healthy to consider what negatives exist in a player but must add that being negative towards a player during a match isn't good. A lot of frustration you see thrown around towards players is because of unrealistic expectations forming anyway! |

You're right, I have only included league matches.
This was because I didn't look all the way through the stats and not an attempt to add further weight to my argument.
With regards to a pile of of 'misery, cynicism and negativity', I'm actually quite happy and relived to see it to be honest.
Isn't it better that we look at players and look at the pros and the cons rather than seeing often inflated and exaggerated good points?
I mean, if the various message boards and Twitter were to be believed Massimo Lunungo was going to be sold for at least £20m, Zan Celar was going to take us back to the Premier League almost single handily, Ilias Chair is definitely going to be sold for £25m one day, Sinclair Armstrong is going to be a phenomenal player, Richard Kone will be sold for £50 million one day.
The list goes on much further than that and still the penny hasn't dropped that maybe, just maybe, we have unrealistic opinions of our players which is odd with their actual ability and how others see them.
We've been right once in over 10 years about a player, Eze.
If, and its a big if, Tariq has overcome his injuries and can find some form we have a great asset on our hands. He won't be here for long if that happens but we'll get a few million for him at the end of this season or next.
We all want that to happen.
But, as above, I am delighted to see many looking at the negative side and hope this trend continues with all our signings AND current players. |

Poku was high profile for Peterborough but he was playing League One football and not regularly shown on TV in live matches.
All the hype about him was by word-of-mouth rather than any regular viewing of his matches.
Lamptey only played more than 20 games in a Premier League season once and that was 5 seasons ago. In that period Brighton were shown on average live on TV 16 times each season but I can't confirm which of those matches he played in.
Maybe it's me and my friends, but I don't know anyone who would watch most of those matches on TV or go out of their way to watch dodgy streams of Brighton matches not shown on BT/TNT, Sky or Amazon.
Maybe you and others have watched a substantial amount of Brighton games over the last 5 years but I think I can be confident in saying that most QPR fans haven't. [Post edited 22 Jul 13:08]

The big question here has to be if he is back at full fitness and the recuperation has taken place then why is he available on a free to QPR?
Fiorentina have written off £6m when they could have loaned him out to another side, got them to pay the wages and sold him for a couple of million at worse. They would also have insurance in place if he had to retire through injury.
There's something not quite right about this and I wonder if the Italians have information that hasn't been shared. |

To be fair to Myke, it's no different from the many posters on here, other forums and social media going OTT with almost every signing we make without ever having heard of the player before or actually watching them play.
Celar was a great signing, Malakar was a great signing, Poku was a great signing, Obikwu was a great signing, Taylor Richards was a great signing...
Few on here have watched much of Lamptey either. |

Really thought the praise for Hackney Diamonds was over the top.
This, however, is a fine album and probably the best since Tattoo You.
Hackney sounded like a Jagger solo album but this sounds like a Stones album and even Steve Jordan's performance blends in well. |

We're still buying in a market the real challengers for promotion don't need to shop in.
We could fluke 8th place for the play-offs but we haven't got the squad or money needed to push beyond this.
Need a few players to sell for big money over the next few seasons to change where we can buy. |

Exactly.
It isn't a risky signing because of the free transfer status but its a gamble.
As with every season nowadays a lot of OTT reaction on social media and a potentially a lot of angry people come March because of unrealistic expectations.
Wish him, Tariq, all the best but am sceptical that he'll play more than 20 games for us if that. |

He's had significant injuries throughout his career and if he is fit to play in September it will be a year since he has played a match.
Its a gamble signing for us and the last chance for him.
There's a reason why he's free and coming to QPR. |

I know he's popular and this will not sit easy with everyone, but it is time to review whether or not Francis Atkinson is still the right person to be running that side of things.
Few people nowadays stay in a role as long as he has and most companies would be looking at bringing in fresh ideas. [Post edited 20 Jul 11:47]
